Ernest continued his career in the Royal Navy . The record card below shows the many ships he sailed on.
Ernest's Character & Efficiency records throughout his career are exceptional. He became a Leading Seaman in 1939 and Petty Officer in 1941, a Diving Instructer in 1944 and again, Petty Officer later in 1944.
