In 1901, Emmeline, 16, was working as a Domestic Servant at Hednesford Road, Heath Hayes for the Heath family who had a Butchers shop.
On 20th February 1909 Emily, now 24 and working as a cotton winder, married George Crawshaw , also 24, an Iron Fitter from Accrington. They married at All Saints, Clayton-Le-Moors, Lancaster.

Twin daughters Alice & Mildred Crawshaw were born on 12th February 1922 in Accrington.
