Emmeline Taylor was born on 5th November 1884. She was the
first daughter of Charles and Alice Taylor (nee Smith),
and she had four older brothers, Frederick, born in 1879 ,
Henry born in 1880, both born in West Ham ,Charles born in 1883 in Walthamstow.
and John born in Edmonton in 1884.
The couple had recently moved to Nottingham from Edmonton. Emmelines

Emilys brother, George William Taylor was born at St Philips,
Nottingham in July 1892.
We believe his father may have been Moses M A Kadar, a
general practioner in Nottingham, orginally
from the West Indies.
Between 1892 and 1895 we know the family moved to Norton
Canes in Staffordshire.
In 1895, his mother, Alice had another child, Lucy at Norton
Canes. We are unsure of who her father was at present.
In 1901, Emmeline, 16, was working as a Domestic Servant at
Hednesford Road, Heath Hayes for the Heath family who had a Butchers shop.
